"On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". She asks for any aliens, time travelers, sliders or espers to join her. Watching her weird behavior is Kyon, a guy who sits in front of Haruhi and is the only person that is capable of actually having a conversation with her. Kyon comments on Haruhi's whims which lead her to join every club in school and then promptly quit. Because of this, Kyon unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own club. Soon after, Kyon and several others (all of whom happen to be conned into the club by Haruhi) find themselves literally dragged into Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short)"
